However, there is a chance for tooth cavities to heal with home remedies without the need of fillings. An unhealthy diet that is full of sugar and phytic acid, and lacks important minerals and vitamins is a major contributor to tooth decay. With a change of diet and a bit of oral care, you can get your pearly whites as good as new. Here’s how:
1. Eliminate Phytic Acid from Your Diet
Modern preparation of grains such as beans and nuts make them full of phytic acid molecules. When you consume phytic acid, it binds to minerals that are important for your teeth such as calcium, iron, magnesium and zinc and prevents their absorption. This acid also draws minerals from your bones and teeth. Hence, avoid eating grains and don’t eat unfermented soy products at all.
2. Avoid Sugar Completely
When processed sugars enter your mouth, your oral bacteria consume them and produce acids that erode your teeth enamel and cause cavities. Instead of sweetening with sugar, use moderate amounts of honey as a healthier option.
3. Get Sufficient Vitamins and Minerals from Healthy Sources

Make a tooth paste with 2 tablespoons of baking soda, 4 tablespoons of coconut oil, 20 drops of peppermint oil and some calcium and magnesium powder to mineralize your teeth.
