Five Common Deodorant Mistakes You Are Probably Doing

...........................................................................................................

By now you maybe sure that you have already mastered personal hygiene, especially when it comes to something as simple as applying deodorant, but if you get smelly or itchy parts after applying the deodorant, then you are probably doing something wrong, most people turned out to be making common mistakes when it comes to applying deodorant, maybe you are one of them, the following is the 5 most common deodorant mistakes you are probably making.

1- You May Be Using The Wrong Product.

A common misconception people have is that deodorant actually block sweating which is wrong, deodorant is different to antiperspirant, if you are only concerned about the body odor then deodorant will be your answer but if you are a heavy sweater then consider using antiperspirant instead, the difference is that, antiperspirants contain aluminum and chloride which are two ingredients that block the sweat while deodorant only mask the odor.

2- You Are Applying It At The Wrong Times.

Deodorant can be applied at any time of the day, preferably after showers, however antiperspirant should better be applied at night before going to bed when you are not sweating that much so at least the ingredients can be absorbed correctly into your skin pores before you reach the sweating peak in the day time.

3- You Are Not Applying Enough.

Sometimes just a single spray or swipe is not enough, whenever you get stressed you may get an unexpected sweat sesh, like when you are in meetings, so to avoid that, make sure to cover your sweat gland properly and thoroughly with the antiperspirant, apply the first coat and let it dry then apply a second one to be sure.

4- You Are Not Being Kind To Your Skin.

If your skin is sensitive or you have eczema or other types of skin problems, using heavily scented deodorants can further more irritate the skin and aggravate eczema, so you better consider using a fragrance-free deodorant instead.

5- You Are Using The Same Product For Long Time.

If you feel that you are applying antiperspirant generously yet you still end up with moist and unwanted body odor then it maybe time to witch to another product, your body can develop resistance to a specific product and still produce sweat, changing to another product can help you have more control and prevent your body from having a resistance to a specific product, you can keep on switching back and forth to your favorite product.
